E6600 or E6420 for P5K Deluxe

Title pretty much says it all.

I was planning on the E6420 with a 8 multi. Hopefully it clocks well and I can always go Q6600 if it doesn't.

Then I thought is it possible that the P35 can push the E6600 harder? I can always use the 8 multi.

The cost factor isn't an issuse.

Flip a coin... the E6420 will probably OC better.

I would get the E6420 and use the savings towards your next CPU upgrade, maybe a Quad in the fall or something along those lines.

I thinking the same thing. I know the logic was that the 9 multi is advantagous for good water or phase.

Like I said the money isn't an issue.

get the 6420, and save for a quad. either way, they are both decent.
