I'm trying to build the best water cooled computer I can, but still keep everything in the case and not use anything larger than a mid-tower. So far, I'm very pleased with how things are turning out. But, I have a question for all the watercooling experts out there.

Should I have a water tank or is it not really that necessary?

Please give me all opionins you have on this subject...this is my first watercooling project and I want it to be the best it can be. Right now I'm kind of leaning toward no tank, as if I have one, I think I will have to custom make it. But, if it will make that much of a difference, I'd be willing to. Thanks for your input in advance!

A tank makes it easier to put more flouid into your system. It really dosn't affect proformance.

My first system did not have a tank. It took 2 days to fill and work the air bubbles out, and I had a 'T' in the line to let it out. Other than that it performed very well.

I use a reservior now, and can be filled and running in 10 minutes.

It's all just a matter of what you want. The tank-less system does well in small cases, and leaves more room for other goodies. But shopping around for a good fitting tank will get you the same.

Still just a matter of choice.
