NVIDIA's next chip?

I was just wondering if anyone has any info on NVIDIA's next graphics chip. (geforce 4???) I believe that it is codenamed the nv20 and that it was supposed to be in the xbox a while ago, not sure if it was put into the xbox though. Anyway, I'm just wondering what the next chip is for the pc, what it has to offer, andd when I should be expecting to see it in my AGP slot. :beer:

No man, its the NV25 and it will definatly be called the Ge-Force 4. It will be just like the Ge-Force 3 but offer more richer features and come with 300MHz Core and 600MHz DDR Ram.

The Eclispe is what I'm gonna rave about, (NV30). This beast will have 8 pipelines engine and feature 1GHz ram (QDR tech), 64-bit colour, even faster HSAA, and of course 128MB Video Ram.

also with AGP 8X too, but the thing is, its not till 2003 according to Nvidia's roadmap. :(

Ohwell, good thing I bought my Ti 100 @ 266/433 to do me over till 2003!

How much do you think the nv30 will cost? It sounds expensive, (but worth it). I wonder if they will be able to make a xbox emulator or a gamecube emulator with the power of the nv30.

The NV25 is simply the XBOX's chip tuned down so that people will still have a reason in buying an XBOX.

NV30 does look like the next possible card for me, but lets no forget about ATi they won't go down without a fight. 2003 pfft, no worries for me, it will take me that long to recover from the money spree I just had. heh We will just have to see how far my gef3 ti500 will go (evil grin):burn:

Hmm.. Too hard to decide now but the NV30 is obviously going to hit a high price at the start and drop loads..

ATI.. don't know about them but there's going to be huge changes from now and 2003... So keep your eye peeled.

i belive the gf4 is coming out at the beginning of the second quarter next year....its not 2003....the nv30 might be 2003, but the nv25 is 2002

I think I am going to settle for the nv25 when it comes out, since by then games will probably start using the features on the geforce 3. Then I will be ahead of the game again. (When I got my geforce ddr back when it first came out it was top of the line and way ahead of any other card, now it is still up there and even beats the geforce 2 mx. I forget when I got it, I think it was just before christmas in 1998, but not sure, could've been in 99 but it was right when it first came out).

that was just an estimate, they could be pre ordered last year for 400-450 depending on brand.
