Hi all,

I moved to LA from NYC and wow the internet out here sucks so far so bad I can't even play W.O.W. in any enjoyable way.

I can't take it anymore and need a new provider from this crappy ATT that my mom has. I need to get my life (internet addiction) back :)

PLEASE let me know what you use if you live in So Cal and how much it costs you. THanks!!!! Soooo muuuch!

Thanks! I ended up signing up with TW no contract $35 a month Road Runner Standard 6M x 512K.

A bit pricey but I need it. ATT cuts me off all the time and I am still downloading a 3gb file after 24hrs. Says it only DL 850mb so far! Good Grief it should be done by now.

if you have verizon Fios in your area get it over ****ty tw cable internet. I had TW cable and it was horrible... for the same price (45 bucks a month) we got fios that was 3x faster download and 6x faster upload (15mbit/2mbit vs 5mbit/348kbit)

:( No Verizon here unfortunatly.

WOW! Sooo far it's smooth and quick now. No pausing and my 3gb download is now running quick rather than 3 days it's 5hrs.

Give it a few weeks...the Verizon folks I talked to while finagling my new broadband and telephone contract were indicating that the rollout is going to be fast. Verizon doesn't want to maintain copper any more as the lines are sort of turning to **** as they are 40-plus years old on average.

I have 15mbit fiber coming in two weeks. I'll let you guys know how I like it.
