View Full Version : My PSU ok for 8800GTS 320MB
I am wondering if my PSU will be sufficient for an 8800GTS 320MB.
It's an antec smartpower 500W - 12V1 17A and 12V2 19a
it has good caps because it's powered a 7900gt for 8 months with 0 problems.

Do not worry mate! It will power that baby fine.
Good luck, and XFX all the way!
Nice name OP :S
Only the CPU and GPU draw a lot of power, and your 12V lines have plenty of it availible. It will work without a hitch.

Its more than enough for the 8800GTS when the caps are good, but caps deteriorate with heat slowly over time, just because it hasn't blown up on you yet doesn't mean it won't. I would consider a replacement, perhaps an Enhance 5150GH or a Corsair 520HX.
