This company has a long and rich history of failing to honor its rebates.
For that reason (and others) many of us will not do business with this company.

Thank you, I think I will be more satisfied with Newegg.com:rolleyes:
A lot more positive reviews.

only reason i buy from them is because i have a store 20 minutes away and i can go give someone a piece of my mind if i have a problem.

I buy thousands of dollars worth of stuff from Tiger. I place orders on average of once weekly for an average cost of about $100 -$150/ea.
Very few problems and have always been satisfied with the resolution on the few times I did have a problem. That includes rebates.
Keep in mind that the products you buy are representative of the company that made said products. Tiger does sell some cheap stuff so do your homework. I also do business with Newegg.
This is not a paid endorsement. ;)

I have never had a problem from TigerDirect.Com. They've always had very fast shipping and gotten me what I needed. Perhaps I've just been lucky, but I don't see any reason not to recommend TigerDirect

I live right by one of the actual warehouses they ship from and you can go in store to buy things as well. I've never had a problem with them and the people at the warehouse are helpful, no signs of unreliability.

can't say that about my store here.
products are great, but if you ask them a question they really have no clue what they are talking about.
i went in and asked them for their best 2.5" ide usb 2.0 enclosure, and this guy said, well they are all the same, they just hook up to usb, even a 5.25 one will work. and you don't need brackets....
Then my buddy went in to buy a WOL cable, only the manager of the store actually knew what it was...
they are sales representetives and not techies
they sell what they are told to sell

Doesnt matter they still should have general knowledge about the products they are representing.

Yeah, not a good p[lace in my books. Newegg is fine for the normal Joe Shmoe. And if you are a Canadian, like me, you got NCIX and DirectCanada who have better prices anyway!

I've gotten every single rebate from Tiger, FYI. They're fine, IMO.
I've ordered from them a few times without any problem. Due to their history, I won't make any rebate purchases through then, however.
If they have a good, straight-up deal on something I'm looking for I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again.

Every business no matter how crappy...has its share of a few people who've "never had a problem"
Im sure there is also people who think Daikatana was one of the greatest games ever.
Go with the majority...steer clear.

i've orded 7 times from tiger, not one problem. but then again the 8th time could be a disaster.
i say if its cheaper than newegg by 10 bucks or more, go for it.

i dont buy rebates ... period ... if it isnt a straight deal or an "in-house rebate" then i dont go there ... in fact i will generally go somewhere that gives me a straight price because rebates are a royal pain ....
I've never seen a case where tiger's prices were less then Newegg's. But I haven't looked very often either.
I also like the way that you can see all of the specifications of a product right there, whereas with Tiger I seem to have to search for it, and when compared to Newegg, was missing some information (This was the case with 4 moniters I was looking to buy)
Also, there is someone in my class that I don't care for much, and he goes through Tigerdirect :P

That is seriously bad advice.
Save 10 bucks and go with tigerdirect and a COMPLETE HISTORY of service issues.
Or go with newegg and their super fast processing, shipping and great customer service.
I think the only reason some might use TD...is because I think they ship to canada.
