Here's the scenario...I am basically trying to make my pc insanely fast...(obsessive/compulsive???)...

right now i have a geforce 2mx400 (visiontek) I have not benchmarked it (will soon tho)

I saw a review of MSI's geforce3Ti200/500 and i am very impressed...i am curious about the performance gain...what (in yer pro opinion) would be more logical..stick w/my 2mx400 or goin up to MSI's new 3Ti200 (500 is too much money for me)

any advice would be very helpful...i'm stumped on what to do, THANX!!!

Dude,

You can not even compare your G2 MX400 to a G3 Ti200 ( I assume you mean the new G3 Ti200) not the remaned G 2 Ti200.

The G3 Ti200 would eat your MX400 for breaky. Not to insult the MX400 but it is not that fast. It is not ddr , I believe it is sdram. It is equal to a Radeon 32 DDR.

If you can afford the Ti200 geforce 3 get it. Or the next best choice would be a Radeon 7500 for about $105 US which is an excellent deal for the performance you get, but slower than the G3 Ti200. 7500 is very overclockable card and no driver issues, check my sig out.

But ya anything up from a MX400 will amaze you it is kinda slow imho, and I just upgraded from a Radeon 64 DDR vivo that was pretty quick.......
