Hi there people i was wondering if anyone can tell me his/her highest oc speed without extra cooling mods althought i got a extra fan on my GeForce 2 mx 200. I'am asking this because i'am not happy with my system performance, 3000 3dmark2001.

I got hyundai ram on the GeForce 2 mx 200 is good i think.
It now runs on 210gpu 175mem instead of 175gpu 143mem, and before i go any further i want to know if anyone else succesfully ocied this card any higher

Msi kt7pro2a tbird 1200@1352 (13x104) (won't go past 14x)
GeForce 2 mx 200 64mb
800 mb 133mhz cas3 ram
etc.

thanx

G2 MX200 cards are garbage , sorry to tell you. They suffer from low bandwith. A better bet for cheap would be a Radeon 32 DDR card.

I would not spend anything on imnproving that card imho.

If it's what you got, go with it. My roommate had a GeForce 2 MX 200 that got the same 3DMark2K1 marks as my Geforce 2 MX 400. So either his card was awesome, or mine was crap.

Thus far, though, I have not OCed my MX 400 yet. I need to get better cooling on it first. But when I do, I'll let you know.

See sig below:cool:

I made my memory HS. applied them with Artic Silver and Elmers glue. [on the edges, not touching any pins]
3Dmark2k01 I run @200 core and 210 mem. - (4035 score)
800x600@16bit
I have a Hercules GF2MX.
I also use a slot cooler under the vid card. [42 cfm]

Good luck.

Wow, 3000 3DMark2001 is pretty dang good for a MX200 card with a Mid-speed TBird on a KT133 board. It's about the same as what I get with my non-overclocked GF2MX, Tbird 1 GHz and KT266A system.

But yeah, check the frontpage for videocard mods, they've done several of them and you shouldn't have a problem getting an idea of what you need to do.

Thanx folks for the reply, i now have a idea to get the most out of my mx, the bottleneck is the memory so i'll have to put a heatsink on them thus staying cooler while ocing.

I'll also be swapping my mainboard back from msi to abit because i tried this board out for a while but i noticed 10fps decrease so abit is the way go! I also have a watercool plant but that thing was hooked up to my ocied duron 750@1050 for testing puposes.
but i think it'l do wonders on my athlon.

The problem was also the connection of the waterblock because there were no holes in the msi board to connect the dangerden waterblock!

I'll be posting back with some benchmarks to show if it worked.
