I wouldn't, heck I'm not going to renew XBL when it expires. I'm of the opinion that PSN has the right idea and XBL Gold should be free like Silver and let the content generate the cash

I wouldn't mind paying for PSN provided it offered a similar [or better] experience than XBL. Many people, including myself, think that XBL is a tremendous value at $50 - those who routinely play games online and take advantage of all [or most] that XBL truly has to offer. I can sympathize with your desire to not want to renew, but I would imagine that you likely do not play many games online; as such, there is no reason to pay for the content.

Also, keep in mind that making XBL free would only make the content more expensive. XBL Gold currently costs less than $4.20 per month - not exactly a huge price to pay [for anyone]. I have zero problem with Sony charging a similar price.

Depends on price but if it was pretty cheap then yes. Playing Resistance Online I have never once had lag, and just recently started to beta test a new game for PSN which so far has me completely addicted and I would happily pay a monthly fee to play.

Sold my PS3. I would never have paid for PSN.

I had 2 games for it, but in all honesty I didnt see the point of owning it when I wasnt impressed with the play, nor the upcoming releases scheduled for it. So I sold it off. My 360 gets all the playtime.

I would pay for it as long as there was a game I couldn't live without playing online. I don't have XBL now, but I'm going to get a subscription as soon as I finish the Halo 3 SP. That way I can get a full year of Halo 3 online, after which I probably won't feel like playing anymore anyway.
