Currently have g2mx400 @64mb ram...system running ok (no oc'ing for me, thanx)...I am going to pick up MSI's G3Ti200 sometime next week.. I am just curious how much of an overall heat increase will occur. I am also curious if stock cooling on these cards is really adequate? thanx guys!
temp increase should be minimal and you can always put a blorb on the vid card for cooling.

Stock cooling is always adequate at default settings (unless your PC is really hot). If you plan on OCing, get some Arctic Alumina (Compound and Adhesive), and get 1 Tt Silver Orb and 2 Tt RamSinks. Use the Compound on the ORB/GPU (After lapping both), and push pin them together. Then use the Adhesive, and replace the RAMSINKS (use the adhesive to attach to RAM, add about 20% compound to the mix, maybe more).
Personally...
I would say that you shouldn't get the MSI GeForce 3 there are better brands of GeForce 3 rather than MSI one is Visiontek.
The stock cooling are good but I would post in the videos catagory and see how they reply .. Usually GeForce 3 already come with ramsinks..

Better RAMSINKS = better cooling. Also, most GF3 ramsinks are GLUED on, so if you dont want to replace them, just remove them (put in freezer for half hour in anti static bag, then pop RAMSINK off with screwdriver), and use super glue removed to get the glue off. Then lap, and apply adhesive.

Well ThermalTake's ramsinks aren't the best from 3 reviews I've read some of the stock stuff are very well made..

You still should replace the glue with some Arctic Alumina...

...and if you do use the stock heatsinks but are going to use Arctic Alumina, why not lap the bottom of them until they shine while you have them off anyway.:D

Interestingly My PC case temps went down 2*f when I switched from my Geforce2 Ultra to the Radeon 8500 Both GPU's had Alpha Pal 15us on them

What about a GeForce 2 MX400 64m.b. with just a heatsikn no fan. Should I add a fan cause I was thinking about getting the Blorb.

BLORB's have internal fans.
P.S. I stuck my tongue on a heatsink that had been in the freezer for 7 hours. Its still hurting.
