View Full Version : Some Socket 370 Options For Future 566 Celeron
OK I'm juss awaiting upon my slotket, and I'm going to hook things together..
What I'd like to know on your opinions..
For value and performance should I get a ThermalRight SK-6(65 Canadian with Delta), Thermaltake Volcano 6cu+ which is only 34 Canadian, or the GlobalWin CAK38 which is 54 Canadian?
I know I want the thermal take although it only comes with like a 20cfm fan so it's kind killing the bux there..
CAK looks abit better than 6cu, although a very far apart price range.
OK Looks like I've got my eyes set on that SK-6 I've called them and asked and they said it pushes around 40 cfm so I'm guessing a 37.1 CFM or 38..
Only for 65 Canadian too what a deal.!

Hi tsunami,
If you plan to squeeze all the OC juice possible from your C2 566, I suggest a SK6 with a Delta38@7v or a Millenium Glaciator II, which are for sure a long term investment ;)

Hehehe I figured the same, the SK6 will last me one heck of a time and its only a 10 buck difference from the CAK38...
I'm defintely getting the SK-6 now as for the delta I need one of those 3pin molex to a 4pin.. I really don't wanna burn me mobo.

It's absolutly the way to go, coz this fan is really a kick a** for the Mobo, and you can also mod the voltage @7v for a confortable noise, @12v it's really noisy!!!
Heh, do you actually mod fans to be 12v? Did you do it to yours?
I'm guessing my Delta 60mm will include the specs of:
Moves 37.61 CFM of air
- 120mm x 38mm Case Fan
- noise level: 46.5dba
- Uses 3 pin power plug
- uses 3.84 watts
- 6800RPM Fan Speed
So at 12v... That must be like 8000 - 9000 RPM HOW WILL I SLEEP! hehe

No, no,
I mod, like many other guys & gals, the fan to work @7v, coz the standard voltage is @12v!
LOL I like the loudness, it explains when the fan dies... :) Or when its running weak or something...

Well, if you really like the loud, you have to go with a Delta50Cfm 60x60x35mm, it's really annoying, mine is working @7v, but the performance on a SK6 are absolutly GREAT!!!
The SK-6 Will fit on slotket's right? heh I'm guessing yes since the slotket is Socket 370 so..

Yes, even if I've never tried, but it's like any other HS on a slotket adapter. The only suggestion possible is to lock properly the slotket for the HS weight :)
OK Cool, now the final task.. Waiting for a slotket so I can confirm everything works!!
