ive used this pump in to rigs but i think my new loop in my new rig will be to much for it.

rig specs

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz OC'd 3.1ghz
PSU: Silverstone Strider ST1000 1000 watt
GPU: 2 XFX PVT80FSHF9 GeForce 8800GTX in sli (overclock pending)
Ram: 4x1gig CORSAIR XMS2
Mobo: DFI LP UT NF680I LT
Case: silverstone tj07
HDD: 1 74 gb raptor (os and games) 3 320gig seagate barracudas

(also do you think my ram is limiting my system at all) haven't heard very good things about it

cooling loop:

CPU: Swiftech APOGEE GT

GPU: EK Full Coverage 8800 GTX

GPU: EK Full Coverage 8800 GTX

SB: Swiftech MCW30 Chipset

NB: Swiftech MCW30 Chipset

RADIATOR 1:Black Ice Xtreme 3

RADIATOR 2: Black Ice Xtreme 2

RESEVOIR: EK-Multioption RES 250

FILLLPORT: Danger Den RED

i have not yet decided on loop order yet was thinking

pump>gpu>gpu>bix 2>cpu>nb>sb>bix 3>

I'd say use a 2nd pump and make 2 loops, plus drop the SB cooling.

im kinda torn on the southbridge cooling it doesnt need it but i have th extra block from my old rig

my motto always has been if ya got it do it and it actually shouldnt add that much restriction. idk yet its still up in the air

i would also get another pump. its up to you for the s/b, and i guess all but anyway. you can save $5.00 on some swiftech stealth blocks (http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=240&products_id=21854) for the GTX's. and i would go with Thermochill rads (http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=200&products_id=3943).

Nix the BI2 and the SB block and you won't need another pump. Actually, even with that all in there the D5 would still do fine. People underestimate the ability of that pump.

i decided against the stealth blocks because they are aluminum (i know they are anodized but still. (paranoid)

and holy radiator 120 bucks for a 120.2. are they that much better than the rads i already have.

also u think my memory is holding me back

and with this new loop you think i can push my processor farther 24/7

ditch the black ice series rads, go for the MCR series, or if you have the dough, get the Thermochill. Get the CPU Block, 2 GPU Blocks, and a single 3.120mm rad (The MCR320 is a good choice). If you wanna do SB and NB cooling (I'd recommend against it, more hassle, not enough benefits), then one D5 will still handle it just fine.

Another vote for the MCR320 here. Definitely worth it. Especially for the price.

Personally I wouldn't bother changing rads. Yes the thermochill is better, but the radiator you have isn't bad at all.

oh you already have the rads then nvm. if you were gonna get some tehn go with thermo i am. but only one 120.3. is that D5 pump the same as a swiftech MCP655? and which rad is better thermochill or swiftech's??

s that D5 pump the same as a swiftech MCP655?
Yes.

and which rad is better thermochill or swiftech's??
The PA series outperforms the MCR series by about 10-15% from what I've seen. Everyone who has one says it's a very nice rad, but depending on your situation, the cost may not be justified.
