Update on Duron 800 AKCA 'Z'

Hey guys... u asked me to update u what is happening with this 'lil duron, but no1 seemed to post anything in the "I got a duron" thread.. nevermind though. I got this thing upto 1007Mhz (134x7.5) w/ 1.79Vcore! It rox, but it just won't post at 1050 not even w/ 1.85Vcore... dunno y...Its unlocked and OK but just won't boot... I'll try to up FSB tommorow & we'll see what will be the MAX of this chip w/o volt modding the mobo...

Mine will run 1044 stable at 1.8volts with taisol760 for cooling
Load temp is 39*c

Once youve tried FSB overclocking could you take a look at my "Duron FSB overclocking" thread and give me your views.

Most 800 durons seem to go to between 1000 and 1075 so yours might be very slightly on the slow side. Hopefully you can get a bit more by upping that FSB :)

1020MHz!!!!! :mad: @ 1.79Vcore... the computer does not post at any higher Vcore even on lower speeds... WTF???

Hey Coolest,...........for some reason some of the early Duron 800's were very bad OC'ers ...............I had one that wouldn't do more that 950 in any combo at all ................I don't remember the stepping code................opps hehe just found the bugger on the shelf .............here's the codes on the chip:............

Is this chip still alive or gone to a better place? my will post at 1020/1027 w/ 1.75 Vcore but won't post w/ higher Vcore...

What I ment is ..................it's deader that a doornail..............there's not visual defects ................ya know like burnt marks, or cracks but it's just dead...................It is a trophy from the OC wars...............it's up there with my celeron 400 that a smoked trying to get it to run at 100 fsb .................*poof*...........hmmm what's that I smell ............

Hey guys. I moded my chip so now its default Vcore is 1.85V so I was able to O/C it to 1048 (131x8) stable, that really sux!!!
I really wanted 1064MHz (133x8), it does post and load windoze at 133x8 (actually 134x8, mobo has buggy generator) but hangs about 3 mins after I run F@H...

ya know with better cooling i bet you could get it higher.. cause when i was running my glacier, load was around 47C now with my SK6 its like 33C and i can go 50mhz more.. just a thought

& u even didn't have to up Vcore or anything? just the FSB/Multi?
My mem module really badddddd its CAS3 and can't post higher than 139 and is stable at 134Mhz didn't test it at 135, but running Q3A on 136 the comp would hang... so I had to underclock the FSB a little...
