I have a strange problem

I was given on some advice on how to clean the reservoir, which was just to rinse it through with water or alcohol. So I did it with water, then alcohol, then water, then alcohol...

but now, there are white crystals? debri? that's just forming on the walls of the reservoir. I stuck in a little hangar-hook and scraped some off, seems to be really on there, so my only guess it's that they're crystals of some kind that are forming from ... ?? alcohol's cooling effects as it cools? i don't know

I've tried blow-dryer, fan, more water, anything to get rid of it, only thing that seems to be working is scraping it, but i can't scrape the whole thing as i can't open it and nor can I reach the entire area very well..

any ideas as to what it is and how can I get rid of it?

Let it soak overnight with some vinegar in it.

Some people have cracked their reservoir's using alcohol, so I would advise against do that again.

Not to mention that it eats plastic like orings

Alcohol itself doesn't eat plastic fast enough that you'd be likely to see much damage from a quick rinse, but the 70% ethyl alcohol you buy at the drug store has acetone in it, which is just the thing to use if you want to dissolve most plastics. It's possible that you're looking at pitting of the res walls. If you used 90% isopropyl, though, you're probably looking at something else.
