dam this stuff is alright. this cpu wont do high fsb at all.. the board has been to 500fsb a few times with some now dead ram and my 6300. so i thought id try and get the best of both worlds, im a happy guy :)

That's very nice. What can they do with 4-4-4-x timings?

id say around 1000 with cas4, and about 2.3 or so, i havent givein more then 2.25 because im scared. besides, ddr2 1200 cas 5-5-5-15 is faster and stronger then 1000 mhz cas 4-4-4-12. cas4 only beating out cas 5 in latency with 47.6ns i think, vs 49.5ns with cpu at 3200mhz. thats just in everest, i didnt try pi

Hmm, I just did a run on Everest with my Corsairs and got 51.7ns. That's at 900mhz and 4-4-4-10. Is the small jump to 1000mhz really that big of a differnce in terms of latency?
My second rig is without a video card right now, but I think once I get my new video card in I'm gonna do some tests to compare bandwith/latency between cas4 and cas5 at their respective max stable clock frequencies.
I'm running 2.25v on the Ballistix, and I'm hearing conflicting reports from people about running D9's over 2.3v. Not counting the 680i debacle, a lot of people claim running over 2.3v is bad and will kill the chips no matter what cooling you have on them; others say it's a bunch of lies.
I guess since I don't want to risk it I'll have to stick to 2.25v, I just wish we had some real evidence that resolved the argument once and for all.
Just ask Guatum who puts 2.9v through his Ballistix what he thinks about voltage. ;)

Dude is nuts. Is he cooling those chips with a regular fan on top of them? I wonder how long those will last running the PC 24/7.

I just got the same ram from an RMA with OCZ .I sent them the OCZ2G11002GK and they sent me these instead.(I told them i didnt want the gold's again 2 rma's in 2 months).Im totally happy with these so far. They do DDR2 900 at 4-4-4-9 with 2.1v and DDR2 1067 5-4-4-12 at 2.1v

well, after further testing, these sticks dont really like cas4 too much. cas5 is fine tho. im just running them at 1000mhz with stock volts. i just got em and i dont want to kill em just yet heheh. i understand what your saying Suprchargd, and thats why i dont want to give em more then 2.25 if i have to. this is way fast already.. i dont mind at all. one thing i noticed, well it was hard not too. but when i was trying to run 400fsb, and then the memory at 1200, it would freese in the bios while saveing settings, even unrelated ones. flick the psu off, flick it back on and hit go, machine double boots as normal and it goes like normal. think that means the chipset itself is oced a lil too much? because other then that, it benches and games, interwebs and all that stuff just fine, orthos blend too for awhile.. maybe i just need a nice p5k to take advantage of this stuff. either that or swap back to my 6300 and ride the fsb if its still there.

I have to run some benchmarks on them which i havent yet other than Everest. Best read was 8600mb and latency was around 51.49 running DDR2 900 4-4-4-9.But 9 was set with memset 3.2...These are D9GMH .You can see it through the spreaders if you look hard.I used a magnifying glass

i havent eatin yet, but i tried 1067mhz 5-4-4-12 with 2.15, and they didnt like that at all..
but here is a shot running ddr2 1200 5-5-5-15-6-42-11-11-11-11. pretty sloppy but she gives er

freeses in bios when saveing changes, but once you flick the psu back on, she goes hard, but that bios freeze is kind of scary/annoying. it seems the ram will run (or maybe not) but it also seems like the board is being worked. i dont know.. maybe ill just get a new mobo just to see, because im pretty curious. maybe it just doesnt like a 2:3 divider, 4:5 is all good.

Dam.Thats a kick ass read score.I havent been able to break 8600 with my system.I knew i should have bought a P5B-Deluxe..Ill be back im gonna give that a shot..lol.
Ok best i could get this ram to boot at was DDR2 1138 with 2.25v and 5-5-5-15 but i did break 9000

sweet man, im sure youll nail it. this is an early board, so maybe she just dont like my settings. or maybe asus needs to update their bios? or probably i need a new mobo..

I posted these in a new thread asking for comments on performance. Is this any good? Sorry to invade this thread! My spec is in my sig. This might give you something to compare your sticks to.

With a couple of adjustments I actually improved on these scores a little. Latency down to 46ns and bandwidth up to 9900Mb.

Oh yeah thats some nice score's.I wish my 8500's could do 1200.But i cant figure out how to get high memory OC's.Seems my board only like's 1:1.With my DS3 i could do 1200 with my old OCZ Gold PC2 8800's and 1100 with My Geil 6400 Ultras. But this board is a totally diifernt beast
