Well....I had my dual mp 1.2ghz running at 1.4ghz stable using golden sockets as noted in this previous thread: dual 1.4ghz (http://forums.overclockers.ws/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=47197&highlight=dual)
I have been wanting to get evev more out of these chips but i needed more voltage. The problem is that the dual tyan board has absolutley no overclocking features att all. The only way to get the default voltage from 1.75 to 1.85 is through the L11 bridges of the chip. I needed to connect the middle one to change the default to 1.85v. I tried a pencil to connect the birdges and it didnt work. Please note that these chips are not the newer style mp chips with the trench's and what not. I even tried using some trace tape but it didnt work either. So i finaly went to my freinds house and tape off the area on the cpu's except for the one bridge that needed to be connected and carefully put some conductive grease there kind of like how you unlock an xp. Wallah..... 1.87 on cpu1 and 1.91 on cpu2. I changed the dip switches on the golden sockets to 11 for the multipler and i now have dual 1.2ghz athlon MP's at 1.466ghz or mp 1700+. These new becnhies are crushing dam near everything i throw at it. On the multimedia bench i am on par with a dual intel 2ghz xeon.
