for my new loop i want to add another barb to the top of the radiator as shown, to make filling and bleeding easier.

im just wondering how easy this would be to do. i dont know how thick that top part is etc, so i dont want to jump in and wreck the thing.

any advice is much appreciated :)

Based on rad design sound improbable.

However you might be able to add a 3rd barb down by the other 2 barbs... then just run the rad upside down.

EDIT: thermochill might be different.. .but where the barbs are is a "tank" the top of the rab is just the loops returning... to othin to effectively mount a barb.

I didnt say you couldnt do it..might want to experiment on a cheaper rad :)

yeah, ive got a couple of old rads to experiment on. i think ill be able to bond the barb on with some 2 part epoxy.

reason i want to do this is that it will lead to a secondary fillport at the top of the case, which will be opened when filling, thereby making it easy as hell to bleed, but i need the rad to positionwed as it is due to space requirements

The ThermoChill rads already have a "bleed screw" on the tank, that is used for the same purpose. When filling, you are supposed to loosen the screw and let the air bleed, then tighten it back when done bleeding.

unfortunately, where the rad will be, i doubt ill have access to the screw, thanks for the reply though :)
