Anyone know of any 20" 21" widescreen lcd monitors that have the glossy look. Which brands or can you point out some monitors?

I have a glossy screen on my laptop, it looks nice, but i hate it!! It is way to reflective, if you have anything bright behind you at all, it block the screen...really annoying.

Don't want too much glossy look.. but something that looks really nice. I went to bestbuy earlier saw one of the Vaio monitors, really crisp looking

Try a glossy screen from BB just to see if you like it. Monitors are a really personal thing, what one person likes another may hate, and certain shortcomings which don't bother one person may be unacceptable to another.

Personally I like glossy but I've been running a CRT for a long time which naturally gets some reflection anyway. I also dislike the crystally/grainy/dirty look that some strong anti-glare coating (Dell) gives.

I don't know of any 21" glossies but there are a few 20" glossies: Acer 2051W - fantastic value at Newegg @ $240+ship, P-MVA panel; NEC 20WGMX2 - awesome AS-IPS monitor with numerous input options, pricy though but atm there's a $100 MIR dropping it below $500 (gah it went up, the instant discount is less at Newegg now, still under $500 though) If you have a Fry's near you and they still have them in stock it can be had for closer to $400.

Well I picked up a HP w2007 from Circuit City last week for $290 (after tax.) and I'm very pleased with it. If you have a circuit city near by its definitely worth checking out to see if the glossy screen works for you. Best blacks I've ever seen on a TN panel and the viewing angles are definitely a step up from my 3 year old BenQ LCD. Good colors and no ghosting in games, best TN panel I've seen.

Only nitpick is the back lighting isn't perfect along the top center(like top 1/4th inch) of the monitor but you only notice when the screen is all black (like between scenes in a movie or after movie credits sorta deal.) Didn't even notice that it wasn't totally uniform right away so it really is pretty slight.

Can't really comment on the viewsonic, not familiar with it. Definitely has the price factor going for it and i believe viewsonic does have a good return policy with regards dead pixels but I'd suggesting finding a store that carries it so you can check it out for yourself.

I went to best buy and looked online at circuitcity they don't carry that same kind. They have Viewsonic's but not the optiquest. Heard some good things about it.
