I have been troubleshooting a boot problem with my TUSL2-C/ C3@1.2GHz system... also have a new Radeon 7500 64Mb DDR VIVO...

When I put a PCI vid card in the system boots fine.. no changes but swapping in AGP Radeon causes system to crash when it hits Win2k desktop... goes right back into POST... after a few "cycles" it boots right up...

ANYBODY got any thoughts on this one?

That's a tough one.

I just installed a 7500 last night and it was seemless over here.

Maybe there is one left over video drivers causing the system to barf?

Have you tried loading safe mode and then installing the drivers?

I would zoom in a little closer to the hardware edge. Do you have a different AGP card to try in place of the 7500? I've had problems where a PCI video card would run, whareas an equivalent AGP card in the same system would not. It turned out to be a problem in the AGP hardware. Just an idea.

yes, Hoot... did that... now I have to decide of the Radeon is just crap or if it's a driver issue...

Powered down after the crash, put my old Asus TNT2 Pure in the mobo (no changes) and the system worked great... got it up to 1.6Ghz... :D

I tried adjusting BIOS settings to no avail... & now suspect the Vid card is bad, but need to reinstall Win2K.. to see if it is possibly a driver issue...

Driver issue...

Reinstalled Win2K... vid card works great with "default" 2K drivers...

What a pain in the a$$... :eh?:

What do you think of the card?

I'm really impressed with my 7500.

This is the first half decent card i've owned.
