i am thinking of changing from my realtek chipset network card to a 3com 3CSOHO100-TX that i have seen going due to the less cpu resources the card needs. I have pnly seen a beta driver for windows 2k and there are no drivers for windows xp.
Does the win2k drivers work with windows xp or does xp come with drivers to support the card.
cheers
I do know that XP has a few generic drivers for network cards... They worked just fine for mine and I didn't have to install the specific driver that came with it.
You could just try that out and see if it works.
If not try doing a search on google or see if they have any at windrivers.com, etc.
Even if they don't have officially supported ones, there may be a guy that wrote up something that will work for ya.
EDIT: Yes, the Windows 2000 drivers have a good chance of working for you.

The windows 2000 drivers are beta drivers and are about a year old. would this make them less liely to work with windows xp.
dont you have to pay for membership to windrivers.com if so can you look for them if you have a memebrship as i am a bit skint.
cheers
