this might be old news but have you guys seen this!! this is the coolest thing i've seen out of my card yet. for half-life, latest version, drop the console and use command "ati_npatch 1"
you can set the value from 0-7 with "ati_subdiv x" x=0-7, 1 and 7 seem to have the most noticable differences, i been playing with this all night, i didn't see anything about it posted here so i thought i'd drop a line in case someone didn't know. also it seems you must be running in ogl not in d3d.
