That would be the Razer Boomslang 2000. Hands down the best gaming mouse there is.

Aside from it being out of business, the Boomslang is still probably the best gaming mouse. I think the company went out of business since so many Boomslangs broke.

The current favorite optical mouse seems to be the Intellimouse 3.0, as long as it has the 6000 refresh rate (I think all 3.0's have it). The Logitech has some problems with the popular RatzPad, so you might want to keep that in mind if you have one. Here's (http://www.tomshardware.com/consumer/01q4/011026/index.html) a good review that includes both of tthse mice at Tom's Hardware

My Logitech Dualie has a problem accurately tracking the surface of the Ratzpad. Major bummer, seems like a great pad:( I'd like to try the Everglide Giganta, but I think the texture and reflectivity level look to be very similar to the Ratzpad. fUnc pad anybody?

I believe I have the Logitech "Cordless MouseMan wheel"
It is very smooth.. and being cordless improves your game dramatically, no joke!

Logitech or Microsoft have very well made optical mouses with some serious precision put into it for some hardcore gaming at first the optical mouse may feel weird since its a new feel and eventually it whoops the lama's arse.

Im with TT120, The Boomslang 2000 is without a doulbt the best gaming mouse ever made, but like It_The_Cow said they are out of business and there is no warranty or repair available, I know this because I had two boomslang 2000 go belly up and I spent a considerable amount of time trying to contact them and finally got an email back saying that all warranties are null and void.

As good as they are for gaming I refuse to buy a 3rd as they are $100+ a pop

Im in the process of rebuilding one of them with better components so maybe i'll be able to resurrect one, Im waiting on a a machinest to finish the parts. Making all the wheels aluminum as the plastic components just dont last.

Skynet Op,

LOL, that same thing happened to Boomslang #1 and after I opened it up it just wasnt the same in fact the problem was multiplied and was much worse after I tried to fix that sticking issue.

I will have a solution for you as soon as I get my parts I am having made, when I start putting it all together Ill try to get you an answer.

Maybe someone here has a solution.
