Ok well after about a year, I FINALLY found my copy of NFS MW. Only problem is when playing it drops to desktop randomly. This is the only game on my hard drive that does it. I play S.T.A.L.K.E.R., HL2, Civ4, DAoC, and GTA San Andreas all without a problem. Temps are normal, no random OS corruption either. System is running totally stock ATM.
I've tried the newest Nvidia driver thinking maybe that could be the problem but its doing the same thing... Running XP pro FYI...
Dunno if a reinstall will fix the problem, may just try that... wanted to see if anyone else had this problem before.

I have a similar problem with Half life 2. The game keeps crashing to the desktop if the monitor isn't set to 60hz.

I had a similar problem on my old rig. Was running on a X800XL, it would actually run through the introduction, let me play, then randomly crash to the desktop while I'm in garage. I never patched the game though. I just uninstalled, rebooted, fresh install. Hope you figured that out before I even wrote this... cause I wrote some obvious stuff :eh?:.

Well i tried a fresh reinstall of the game, and it didn't work :( It seems worse now. I can only play a few minutes before it crashes. I even tried patching the game, and that didn't help at all. I dunno what could be the problem, this is the ONLY game that does this :(
I just checked the condition of the CD's, and they all look perfectly fine (not any scratches at all). May try this out on my backup rig and see if it does it on that, then I'll atleast know its not anything with my computer.
