my usb spazes out

my computer hates me it locks up when motherboard usb ports are used (no scanner, printer, mp3, nothing)
i can flash upgrade to the new via 4-1, but my question is this, will this help the usb problem (system lock up) and can i go back to my old motherboard driver without reinstalling the entire thing.

Is your system overclocked, some systems have USB problems when a high FSB is used

ive heard usb to die on a number of things, high fsb is one, also my friends usb dsl modem would kill the usb if it run for a few days stright.. so id bet it might be on ur fsb.. how how do u have it at?

sorry my system is not overclocked, its a stock system. I have no idea what the FSB is set at. would the via update help this?
