Wow is all I can say. I am super impressed. I payed 1,117$ with shipping and tax. Here are my specs. I really happy with my purchase. There is nothing that can touch this dell in price, preformace, and battery life. 5 hours on a 9 cell is fantastic with a 8400GS. 3.5 hours when watching a DVD is also very good for a consumer notebook. Dell did a fantastic job the new refresh. I had an XPS 1330 on order with less specs for 1950$. I am saving over 1000$ as I was gonna spend another 250$ to add the 250GB HD, and the extra ram. I just can't understand how Dell can charge so much for the XPS. besides the sleek look and the machine being 1lbs lighter, its a complete rip off.

Yeah, it's crazy how much cheaper Dell's PCs are than anyone else. I bought the Laptop in my sig for $749 refurbed about 8 months ago. It has a 1.2 Ghz Core duo, 80GB HDD, 6 cell battery, and 1.5GB of RAM, XP Pro, and the Intel G945 integrated GPU (crap, I know, but it runs WoW at 35+ fps and I can write all my papers at school just fine). Add to that, it's 3.1 lbs and gets around 5 hours on a charge using office apps and about 3 hours charge with Wi-Fi on playing WoW. The next cheapest comparable PC was from Sony I believe and was ~$1800. Even though it's a refurb, it runs just fine and has never crashed or done anything unexpected ever. And it can take a beating. It's been floating around my backpack for the last 8 months daily and taking all the abuse I can throw at it and keeps on going. As much as I dislike Dell desktops, their laptops are an extremely good deal. Gratz on your new Laptop, sounds like you got a killer deal.

How did you get that for so cheap?

EDIT: Nevermind, I see you didn't get the extended warranty :)
