Here is a picture of the problem I have when a mouse pointer changes to a text cursor pointer.

I see this black box frequently and it moves and changes positions when the mouse is stuck between a pointer cursor and a typing cursor.

Has anyone found a fix for this or am I the only one with this bug? Stats in Sig of course.

That black box just appers out of no where? Weird. I have had no issue with it nor seen anything like that on my setup.. Have you tried an earlier driver just to see if it was an issue? I know its a pain and hate rolling back but might suggest that. Or do a system restore to prior when you had that.

I have had this bug since the conception of the 2900XT into my system, with every support driver set from the CD until now. It appears to be related somehow with the hardware because when I take a screenshot of it, the box is not there. That is why I had to take the picture with my digital camera. Perhaps it is an issue somehow with the card itself? I don't notice any kind of artifacting while playing games or doing anything else, only when the cursor changes from a pointer to a typing cursor. It also doesn't happen all the time, only in the right spot. It's like rapidly trying to change between the pointer and the typing, then it creates this black box below it.

Did you try to swap out the card (if you have one spare) to safely say that it is, in fact, the card making the problem, or that it may be some vista related bug you got when you installed your card?

get some sort of scanner and see what comes up

try changing your cursor and see if anything changes.

Thought I'd like to mention that either the latest directX upgrade or catalyst 7.7 fixed the issue and other than that I didn't change anything.

Never had any issues with it, but I only used the 7.7 drivers so far.

I know this is off topic, but is it bad that I know what website you were at when you took the picture lmao.
