HEY...I'M KINDA IN A LITTLE TROUBLE FINDOUT OUT WHICH VIDEO CARD TO BUY:
ITS BETWEEN ATI RADEON 8500 OR THE GFORCE 3 ...
I HAVE NO IDEA WHICH 1 IS BETTA..THEY BOTH SEEM GOOD..BUT WHICH 1 HAS THE COMPETITIVE EDGE?
for overall gaming - GEForce is hard to beat NVida has set the bar of quality very high.....
I vote GEFORCE!!!!!!! ...and welcome to the forums!
{Pretend to be mod} Moved to video and sound card section {stop pretending to be mod}
If money is an issue, then go Ati also Ati offers better DVD playback.

...and you're going to put one of those BEAUTIFUL cards on that THING in your signature? HAHAHAHA!!
i needed that.
Seems doubtful that you could hope to get a new video card to work with your antiquated system...you'll likely have to upgrade to a newer system first. Don't waste your money...my 2 cents...

I love ATI for all round usage(video, games, image editing), they are very good quality and cheap.
Geforce3 is the ultimate gaming card(or so I've heard) and is EXPENSIVE.
Goto http://www.googlegear.com for some really cheap prices
(I recommend everyone shop there. The have a computer on sale there for around $450. It is a 1.5ghz TBird! Extremely cheap)
Edit:Welcome to the forums! , I just got my two stars WOHOO!!

No just kidding. But i mean it anyway.
Go for Geforce3 from ASUS. Yeah i know...Greens..And much of them too! But you´ll never have to upgrade for a year and a half.
Besides, The drivers to the games are more outbread than ATI´s
It´s really up to you in the end anyway.
Good Luck!
