I have some laptop memory I am trying to sell and I am not sure if it is DDR or DDR2, it says it is PC2 on the label.
PC2 is DDR2, yes you are correct.
PC2-8000 == DDR400 X2 :)

Ah yes sorry I got confused. So which PC2-xxxx is it for DDR400 X2 simply?

pc2-6400 is :)
If you divide the number of pc2-xxxx by 16 you get about the correct speed I think..

PC2-3200 = DDR2-400 (200 MHz "double pumped" just like DDR1)
PC2-4200 = DDR2-533 (266 MHz)
PC2-5300 = DDR2-667 (333 MHz)
PC2-6400 = DDR2-800 (400 MHz)
PC2-8000 = DDR2-1000 (500 MHz)
PC2-8500 = DDR2-1066 (533 MHz)
Divide the PC2 rating by "8" to arrive at the DDR2 value. Divide that by 2 to arrive at the Memory Frequency in MHz.
