Was at Lowes and Home Depot and was unimpressed with the selection. Looking for a place online that might have a bit more variety (looking for a metallic purple color). Any ideas?

P.S. This is for my case. So looking for paint that works on metal.

You can see pictures of it here (http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=518573) when ever I get around to the painting portion of this whole project.

Last time I was there, wal-mart of all places carried "house of kolors" paint.
Quality stuff in a spray can, and a smallish but nice variety of colors.

Auto Zone carries a bunch of colors in Dupli-color brand (the only one I use).

Online is not so hot for buying spray paint because of shipping on flammable items is most often very costly if you can get it at all....federally regulated and all....

I remember that a small little paint company called DURON might be able to help ya. If you can find a local store, that have rather LARGE selections if i remember right.

If that does not pan out, they may have an online outlet for more direct selection from their entire product line.

Find a store local that will order special colors for you. Just hit the manufacturers site and find the sku you you will be wanting.

Most the time. ACE and other smaller hardware stores are more then happy to find custom parts for you. Also, they let you look at the catalogs if you ask.

Yea I forgot about Autozone....I had just gone there a couple of weeks ago to find touch up paint for the car, and remember them having a large variety of colors. Also ACE is located close by so that would be an option as well. Not sure about the DURON place...will have to look it up. Thanks for the help guys.

ive come to find lowes and home depot very slim on the paint department, you may want to try to locate a sears hardware or even a K-mart if possible. wallmart sells paints too, but i believe due to their policies you may have to be 21+ to buy it in some locations

Hey I've been looking there at spray paints. They have a large varity of paints and colors that might interest you.

I dont know if you have this out in TX, but ACMoore has spray paints. Just make sure you have a metal primer on there before painting.

Best of luck!
