My cpu is the 630 model here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Intel_Pentium_4_microprocessors#.22Prescot t_2M.22_.2890_nm.29) (second in the list).

I'm trying to reduce heat output by undervolting, whilst still staying stable. Right now I can't afford for this cpu to blow up in my face, as I have a hacked on heatsink modded with a 120mm fan. Sure, I can hit 30c idle, but load is crippling! I'm looking to see what voltages people have achieved for stock speeds but still maintaining the primary goal of stability.

well nothing is going to explode from undervolting. worst case is the cpu wont boot when you select a lower voltage.

Sure you can do it and it won't harm the CPU, the key is whether your mobo's PWM can supply enough current and stable at those "lower" voltage.

My toaster D805 smithfield was running fine at 1.1V at BIOS or 1.08V real voltage from DMM, example here (http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=482068).

Edit: Just remember it was even stable running at that low voltage OCed up to 2.94 Ghz from stock 2.66Ghz.
