if there is no brand printed on it, and neither CTspd nor Sandra wil identify it, then I can safely say you have Brand X RAM.
I'd say replace it- if a program can't read the brand, then it's got an incomplete or missing SPD module on the chip itself- usually an SPDless RAM will work just OK at stock speeds, but crap out when you try to OC it.
