Clicking web links in vista wont open

Hey everyone I have this small problem, in that I caint just click weblinks in windows like if someone sends a link over msn I click it and nothing happens and the same goes if Iam in the windows sidebar and click the link that should take me to download more gadgets but again IE or Firefox wont open..

I have fixed it
The file protocols got messed up. You can fix it by going to default programs/ associate a file type or protocol with a program.
