I've got a Tualy !.2 Celeron and it boots and runs well at 1.6g for like 15 to 20 mins then it freezes. How do I vid pin without messing up my CPU or MOBO? It runs at 1.5v while I do this and Mobo settings in BIOS dont change VCORE??

I apologize in advance for my reply, it's "link central", but all the information is here...

and don't skip around, take the time to read everything in all the links (including the links to other sites, they have the details on which Pins to wrap).

I don't want to tell you what to do. I learned how/why I was doing this first, then understood it well enough to know what NOT to do... it's important for me to show and don't tell as others have done the same and I learn much more from tinkering/learning on my own and piecing the puzzle together. If you need help feel free to PM me.

I'm pretty sure it's all there. vid 1 and vid 2 get wrapped based on the intel specs (ftp://download.intel.com/design/celeron/datashts/29859601.pdf) sheet... it give you a default of 1.675 and allows you .10V more for a total of 1.775V (which on my motherboard is actually 1.82-ish :) ).

Make sure you have excellent cooling before trying to raise the voltage up higher. Sometimes, freezing during overclocking is heat related.

Also could be one of your cards holding you back as well.

O.K. I'm going to do the vid pin thing, but I need to know is VID1 and VID2 in the same place on the Tually as the reg Celly? If so I think I am going to vid pin my socket and then seal the wire with some electrical tape or something so I dont wreck my CPU in trying to sew it. Thanks for all the help and if you think that wiring up the mobo is bad lemmie know. Thanks,

What are you using for a HS. If it freezes it usually means to me that it gets too hot. I never get freezes when there is not enough vcore. If that is the case it simply shutsdown and then reboots but I guess there is first time for everything. Just the fact that you have that thing running more clock cycles at default will raise the watts produced but I would think you knew this. There is a possibility that it is overheating simply. You probably said what HS you are using but I forget.

I must say though the 1.6GHz @ ~1.5v or a little above are starting to come out of the wood work.... Here more and more about them everyday. This tells you what later revisions/steppings could do with the .13u core.

I gots to get me one of them chips:D With my cryo cooling setup with LN2 we would most likely see 2GHz speeds I would predict on a MOBO like the GA60EXT or ST6 possibly even since it was a tank for me at 166FSB.
