Ok, i have a 19inch viewsonic G790 "Graphics Series" CRT monitor. I bought it from my friend for 20 bucks, cause he accidently broke of a couple pins on the end. The pins/connector thing up there isnt replaceable, and the cord attactches inside, not with hd15 or whatever on the outside. SO, my question is WHAT DO I DO! so far i have tried using a crap old cable I cut off an old monitor and wiring it to this one but that was missing some essential pin/wire (orange) that i guess regulates the resolution, i cant make it go over 640x480! My next step is just going to school with some cleverly hidden wire clippers and snagging a newer monitor cable hehe, but rewiring this thing is A:not fun, B:not safe or reliable, those things have shielding for a reason! I cannot find a place to sell me a new cable either. So, pass some help please?
