Just purchased the Milenium Glaciator II HSU.
One word: HUGE!
Ok, another word: HEAVY !!
I haven't tried the HSU yet, as I am waiting on the price of the XP 1900 to come down for my new system.
After reading about the Glaciator I and it's problems concerning the HSU to CPU surface, it looks like the G II hasn't managed to fix it. I had to do a bit of lapping and polishing to get a perfectly flat surface.
I am a machinist myself, and I have access to some nice precision equipment. Out of the box, the GII was NOT deburred very well on its edges. This was 99% of the flatness problem.
After some fine polishing, it is now perfectly flat. (Well, as close as my equipment can get it)
I'll post again after I get the chip installed and some further results...
