Ya, plus the heat and power requirements for a motor required to spin a couple of magnets that size.

Hah, you'd have make it a 15k rpm while yer at it... just imagine if one of the bearing broke... 150lb pieces of metal flying all over the place... meh, it'd still buy it.

Ya, typing on one right now. Took me 27 hours to type this, had to keep re-aligning the knucutter and priming the rezlinear accelerator with hydrogen peroxide.

Man, that's the best retro-futurist image I've ever seen! Looks like the control room of the Titanic mated with a bad sci-fi set. Definitely a good match for the OPs HDD.

That's ok. People in 2057 are laughing at all your asses right now too:
"Water cooled! OMG how primitive! Go stick your PC in a stream and bang some rocks together troglodytes!"
"Ha! They used keyboards and mice still with their hands. And look at those fat LCD's! They are so small!"
"Only 15,000,000 songs? But which 15,000,000? How did they live without choices? Could not fit even a petabyte in those machines unlike my micro USB 97 holo-data pack! What non-transcendental-quatro-noobs!"
"Definitely not double plus good."

Hey man, Rat Shack used to be the stuff. When you went there, the clerk actually knew how to do things.
Plus that was where you went for your tsr computers. They were the best machines too kind of, besides Apple. It was one of the only places you could get the fun stuff easy.
Now the place just sucks! :(

Hey, they still have ferric chloride (printed circuit board etchant they call it), which is nice and convient for me when I want to etch my damascus.

By the time 2057, I'd be still alive for sure!
If any of my grandchildren is going to laugh, I'll throw a 15 Ib LCD at them! :p
