I have the .exe version installed, not the screensaver version but my question is, will my normal screensaver slow down my folding any?The reason I ask is that I usually dont use a screen saver and just turn off my monitor when I goto bed but I would like to leave it on and use my own screensaver. This would probably slow the folding down a little right? Im thinking an open GL saver would probably take even more, anyone know?thanks
It will slow it down some, but not too much. I think it runs at about 95% normal with a screensaver running, but that's the folding screensaver and it's dynamic and may use more juice.
I can't say for sure since I don't use a screensaver. I use the power saver(whatever it's called) mode to shut down my monitor after 5 or 10 minutes of inactivity and I don't think it uses a lot of power that way.

I have turned the screensaver off on all my machines. I've noticed that when my monitor recovers the screensaver is working without any other input from me. I have come to the conclusion that even when the monitor is off the screensaver is running.
