Weird Happenings with 8500LE

Well as most of you know the chinese and otyher brand basedd cards of the 8500 which came with the standard 3.6ns ram did not oc too well....however, i just read a review at www.digit-life.com of the SuperGrace brand of 8500Les that came with 4.0ns ram, and apparently there is no limit this time in the card they hit 600!!!!their 7500 also with slower ram reached 550.....that just shows you that Ati somehow cripple dthe other LEs out there....

Ive got a LE and it kicks major @ss, Im trying to figure out what the deal is with my card, was default @250/250 but even with the stock hsf it went right up to 300/300 without flashing the card nor doing the voltage mod.

Not only that but the card doesnt even get hot but i still slapped a decent hsf on it and used my trademark silversinks.

But Im still trying to get some answers so I can help others that buy the OEM.

dcoes yours use 4ns or 3.6ns ram?

mine has 3.6ns Hynix ram

Was a White box and has a Made in China Sticker on the back

Was 250/250 @default and a Guy I know bought another card at same time as me and we are testing his as I write this.

I am curious if he can hit 300/300 as well


These particular OEM's came fromRoyal PC (http://www.goroyalpc.com/no_config_product.asp?m_cat=s_AudioVideo&cat=videocard&action=show&id=570_videocard) But I bought it from a vendor that bought several of them from this company, apparently thier customer support is the pits, but thier OEM 8500 is definitly not the normal OEM 8500 as mine came with 3.50v Vmem and can hit substantially higher clocks than most OEM, even some retail 8500's from the things Ive read at rage3d


Also I have noticed in the Last 24 hours Royal added a line in thier description,

"ATI Radeon 8500 64MB DDR 3D Gamer AGP, Core: 250MHz with DVI, TV/VIDEO out "

Funny there is one guy that has a Supergrace LE that I didnt add to this Database (http://forums.overclockers.ws/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=51887) That has that a SUPERGRACE OEM that only gets 250/250

I didnt add his data because he didnt send me any bios info only that he got 250/250
