This new accessory combines the accuracy of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk in a single housing for a new experience for first-person shooters and targeting games. Players can hear the sounds of battle through the Wii Remote speaker when it is incorporated into the Wii Zapper. It arrives on store shelves later this year, packaged with Nintendo-developed software that shows off its versatility.

I've heard varying reports about the Wii Zapper. I've heard that it's a blast to use, and I've heard that it sucks monkey feces.

Idk if I'd drop $25 on a peripheral like that without testing it out first myself, but it might be cool.

No stupid stupid design, bad Nintendo. Retro Look only. We all know that this console is marketed at children of the 80s. What's with the assault rifle design? But duck hunt two is already hinted at with Wii Play. Check out the Shooting game, Ducks fly buy in a couple of the levels.

yeah it's a cool idea to have an accessory that combines your current controllers into something new.....then again it's a piece of plastic and they're charging as much as the classic controller for it....which I think is kind of a rip off....it should ship with a Wii play type of game for that price....or come free with a gun game like Umbrella Chronicals or that Sega Ghost Squad game. Really that thing should be $10 at most.

looks fine to me. If you want a pistol design, the go get a toy cap-gun or something and duct tape your wii-mote to the barrel and your nunchuck to the handle. Everybody's got to be so picky. I guess you want a rifle style one for all those hunting games too, right? Can you imagine how cluttery it would be if you had a specific peripheral for every game? I think the design is good and may even make me like FPS games a bit.

FPS games on the wii were terrible to say the least. Red Steel was one of my most anticipated games on the Wii (shooter/sword fighter - hell sign me up) and its controls were dreadful, storyline was horrible, and its multiplayer was abysmal.

I hope this will bring a change to it. Nothing like old school duckhunt again.

I think everything except the bowling ball is available now to attach to your Wiimote. You can even buy a sword and shield.

Beyond the fact that they look absolutely ridiculous, they increase the 'hitting people beside you' factor by about 500%, which always makes for a good time.
