Im that desperate. Im doing it.

Any suggestions on new sticks while im hoping this one gets fixed?

Anything else besides the obvious G.Skill and Ballistix?

What about Team Xtreme or Mushkin (i've had a good experience with them, even though I fried a chip, it was my fault) or even some decent priced Corsairs? maybe the 6400 Dominators?

I fried one of my mushkins last night doing a suicide run. I've been looking at this other set of Mushkins that are rated for 1066 speed at 4-4-4-10 timings. They say their shipped with D9 chips.

Any other sub-200$ suggestions?

I run those same Mushkin sticks. I'm currently running the at ddr 910 but went with the tighter timings of what you see in my sig. Awesome sticks for the price. I got hooked on Mushkin when i bought the redline ddr1 series. I'd like to see if I could the timings even tighter.

No reason in particular. I guess the way I would say it is... their too... common? I think thats the word im looking for...

The reason they are common is cause they are cheep and are top notch ram
just for reference my cheep ram does
440mhz @ cas 3
520-530ish cas 4
660 cas 5

Another small factor. I very much dislike MIR's just because of the fact that even if it is a MIR, their still taking your money in the first place so your actually paying that amount for it even if the give it back...

W/O rebate, Newegg has the following.
Ballistix 800 - 125$ http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820146565
G.Skill 800 HZ's - 129$ http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231065
Mushkin 1066 D9 - 152 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820146677

There still $110 from buy.com without the rebate so thats about as cheap as you are going to get them.

They were 130$ earlier today, thats why I listed them. I was going to get them, refreshed the page and they said 150...

Guess i'm going to get some ballistix.

Will order them on Saturday (overnight FedEx shipping FTW).

Hopefully have them by Monday.

Then keep posted for burn-in tests in this thread. =D
