I have a duron 800 oc'ed to 960 and want a simple, cheap but effective method of water cooling for it i know nothing about water cooling and live in uk could some one tell where i could get a water cooling setup form and how much its going to cost me!!
You'll probably achieve quite a lot more with decent air cooling. Water cooling is going to give that extra 100MHz over air. Water cooling is fantastic but is complicated and dangerous. Here is another thread that will probably help;

If you cant get higher, you might not have the heatsink mounted directly on the CPU or you arent using thermal paste, or are usinga bad thermal paste.

Looking at around the £50 is that possible?

With that Duron, I would not expect water cooling to give you any more speed...
My Duron 750s have been maxed out at 1.0Ghz, and cooling really isn't a problem at all. The air cooling I use is more than sufficient...
However, water is the next step, and from what I read around here, a hobby in and of itself!
Get a better heatsink.
Ive got a taisol 760 and my load temperature is only 39*c
Thats on a duron 800 @ 1044 1.8v
When i put a 120mm fan on the heatsink my temp dropped to 29*c
But i only got a 50mhz speed increase so now im using the stock fan for noise reasons.
As for watercooling, you wont be able to do it for £50 unless you make everything but the pump yourself even then it will be tough.
Im making my watercooling rig at the moment. I spent £40 on the pump. £15 on copper for the waterblock. £15 on fittings and tubing and I made a radiator from copper tube for about £8.
Ive had to use some fairly complex tooling to make it all. So unless you have access to a pilar drill, thread taps end mills and a blow torch allready it will be cheaper to buy stuff. Then your talking over £100 even for a basic system.
Have a look attekheads.co.uk they do some good watercooling kits for the UK, they also have a good forum for watercooling.
