I never owned one before.....I found this fan in someone's case that they threw out on the side of the curb. And I happen to pick it up.... It has been rain on for the last 2 days. But I got out the hair dryer and it's working! heheh btw this picture was taken with the fan running so it's not still... :)

Note the bottom: DELTA ELECTRONICS. Yes, its a delta fan. keep your finger out of it while its on.
I checked out their website, but couldn't find that model number. Maybe they have discontinued the DFB line. So the next test to find out if it is a delta is to put it next to a 1200W hairdryer. If its louder than the hairdryer, then its a delta :D

you will know if its a delta if you put your fingure in it while its running and its not there when you pull it out:D
Here's the spec sheet for that fan.

I just checked delta's website and couldn't even find that fan listed; it must be an older fan. From the link that you posted, it looks like they may have just misprinted the number on the spec sheet. Regardless, it doesn't look like that delta fan will move much air anyways. It would make a good, very quiet fan for an older, slower proc but I don't think that it would move enough air to cool a modern processor.

I don't want to use it to cool a processor....Just case cooling...but hey it was free.

Not all Delta's are loud. That one is probably well under 30 dBa. It won't help a lot due to low CFM, but hey, if you've got the space and some spare juice, it sure won't hurt.

Check out the amperage. The infamous 38CFM Delta takes half an amp, which is HUGE. The fan you have has amperage marked as .09...significantly less, which means significantly slower.

If you have a place to mount it, by all means put it on your case. You won't even hear that fan running, I bet. And the more airflow you have in the case, the better off you are.
I'm not trying to be rude or hurt your feelings, but if you're not interested in other people's opinions then you shouldn't post here. When you post and ask us if we know anything about an item, expect to hear an answer, including how people feel about it too.

you must be new here...I did not say I was not interested what they had to say... It's just a fan they are not used to seeing inside a case..

Hey anyway....I only asked if this was a Delta fan because I thought Delta's fan logo was not the kind thats on my fan now...
I found a site, here (http://www.excess-solutions.com/fans_by_mfg.htm) , that says its a delta. It also has a spec sheet for it if you are interested.

I got their 4" fan the Gamma 25 fan and some crappy small 486Fan which did not really last very long..it makes a loud screehy sound when it's running.
