2 PC LAN.. how do you DIY it?

Like I got 2 PC that i want to link so we can use networking neighborhood + play CS...
how do i do that??
i got a crossover LAN cable + 2 LAN cards already!

If you're not going to use Internet Connection Sharing, then you should be able to just use the Home Networking Wizard with the crossover cable run between the two machines.

If you are going to use ICS, then it may be a little more involved, especially if you're using a firewall or other software to connect to DSL/cable. This part is where I ran into trouble getting mine up and running. The home networking part was fairly easy, but I did have to manually assign IPs to each machine before I could get it completed.

If the Wizard doesn't work, let us know. rogerdugans helped me via PM to get that part going.
