My VisionTek GeForce2MX400 received 2427 w/stock settings. Coming from a TNT2 I'm happy with this card. Yet, being that i like the best, i am considering a GeForce3Ti200. I am just curious what is the best brand, in your opinions, or if you think going from a 2mx to a 3ti isn't worth it right now (ie. price, etc) thanks!

My picks would be
1)Leadtek Geforce3Ti-200 64M DDR AGP4xretail
2) Microstar G3Ti200 Pro-D Geforce 3 Ti200 64M DDR AGP with DVI retail & 4.4ns ddr ram
(Toss up between the Visiontek and MSI card)
3) Visiontek Xtasy GF3 Titanium200 64M DDR AGP4x
4) Hercules Prophet3 Titanium200 64M DDR AGP4x
The other card you may want to consider for about $60 US less would be a Radeon 7500 (4ns Hynix ddr ram), as you can buy em for $100 US which is a great deal. I love mine.

My advice would be a PNY one ,it has a lifetime warranty and I like the way the card looks ,I have posted this pic before but I am doing it again ,my 3d mark score is 7899 , I will get 8000 , lol

you can look for reviews of the cards, they r very current. you can make some more wise choices then.
i can say im not able to choose between all that listed brands because i havent readed anything about two of them; somehow the hercules would be a great choice. i think almost always, comparing any card, hercules could get some top score.

The LeadtekGF3ti200 is a nice card. There are two different models floating around out there, the T and the TDH. The T model only has tv-out whereas the TDH has tv-out, dvi connector, and ramsinks (H is for hardware monitoring). The TDH costs about $30-40 more than the T model ($183 at newegg). The 2d is quite good on this card in addition to being a very good 3d card. It would definitely be an improvement over an GF2mx400.

TI200 is about 30.00 cheaper then an OEM radeon , also ,a gf3 has a whole lot better compatibility then the radeon.I would look for a 99.00 deal on a gf3 , min was 140 after rebates and came with a stick of ram which I sold for 20.00 ;).

If you can find a Ti200 for 140$ go for it, if you can only get it for 160+ and OEM 8500 is a better deal, it basically has regulare Geforce3 Performance....

How are you getting those Scores. I have the VisionTek Xtasy 5564 Geforce2 MX400 64m.b. video card and only get 1650.

I use PowerStrip to slowly increase the clock speed...
More card ??'s.....
Gainward's 3Ti200 looks like a damn good card...from the pictures...not sure how well it will perform, i have heard good and bad about Gainward from these forums...and i would just like to discuss Gainward's performance and....
PNY is cheaper, I've heard more good things...however, i dont' like the look of that hs and fan...i recognize that fan as basically a piece of crap (have on like it on my TNT2, TNT,old mobo) they get noisy.
As of now, it is between PNY (lifetime warranty..WOO), and GAINWARD (nice lookin card, hs and fan look nice)....
Lemme know guys, thanx alot!
