i've got a factory unlocked 1.4 that doesn't want to run at 1.4, i just put a enermax 400 in and still won't go. If i take the pci cards out then windows goes, but crashes under load. I've had both the chip and mobo replaced, same problem. vcore adjustments did nothing, the highest it will go is 1360 stable. the temp is only 45C. help?

Welcome to the forums.

Ok, what do you mean by it won't go, or crash? If you're getting into windows, but then freeze up or reboot then the problem may be that your ram is not seated all the way. Try pushing them in real hard and wiggle them side to side a little to make sure they sit in right.

Do you have all the latest drivers for your mobo installed? What are your multiplier and fsb settings? What are your voltages? 45C is slightly warm but nothing to worry about and should not be hurting you.

Try the memory thing (may have to do it more than once, it took me about an hour of fiddling), and if it doesn't work give us some more info and we'll be happy to suggest other theories, fixes, catapults ... :D

i do have the new drivers/bios, and the rams in right. As for the crashes; when the pci cards are in there's a BSOD before the winXp loader comes up. w/out the cards it loads windows fine, but resets after 5 seconds of 3dmark.

voltages
vcore 1.78
3.3@3.41
12@12.47
5@5.03
i'm thinking the catapult mite be the way to go

I assume you have tried your pci cards one at a time to make sure its not one specific card that is causing the problems. Beyond this, I don't know what else to do.

Calling for more knowlegable people ...

is the heatsink sitting properly on the cpu?
you should dublle check that
maybe bump the vcore on the ram
