I just got 2 8800gts cards and put them in SLI. Running 3DMark06 at stock (580/1700), I can get about 14700. The problem is that when I overclock the cards, my 3DMark score doesn't increase at all.

This is my first SLI setup and my understanding was that clocking one card higher would increase both. I'm using ntune to overclock. It only shows 1 GPU in the frequency adjustment, but I'm guessing that's normal. Also running Vista64.

BTW, Everest shows the correct OC for both cards in "Performance 3D" mode, but I'm not sure if Vista understands what that means.

You should really give Rivatuner a try. I doub't very much whether nTune is working correctly in SLI, I couldn't un-install that software fast enough.

Right now you can't OC an SLI or CF in Vista 32 or 64 bit using software.

No SLI OCing in Vista, huh?...guess that answers my question
I also can't seem to get the fan control to work for the second card...rrrr
Might just flash the BIOS on both the cards and be done with it. What do you guys think?

You can do that with nVidia cards no problem but not with the 2900 card unless you have AtomWorks
so you can get the bios signed after editing.

A dual boot with XP and Vista is a simple answer. Use Vista for DX10 and XP for everything else.

Just say Thank You To Gates, Balmer and the other good old boys at MicroCrap that believe
Joe End User is a complete brainless idiot who should not be able to do anything other than
what they want you to (IE - their way or no way lol).
