ORTHOS for Quad Q6600???/

Hey guys,

I'm trying to run the torture test from Orthos on my machine. I've been told to run 2 instances of the program since I have a quad core, but what ends up happening is that both Orthos's will stress the same 2 cores and freeze my comp, while the other 2 are at 0% load. Anyone know how to get around this or another program i can use?

You can set the affinity in Taskmanager so that it forces them to the other cores.

If it is locking, then your o/c isn't stable. The program isn't locking your computer...

Instead of Orthos try running 4 instances of Prime95 ( one instance for each core ). After the multiple instances have opened, lock Prime95 to one specific core by setting the Processor affinity under the "Advanced" menu.

Prime95 ver 25.2 will stress all 4 cores and here is the link to Prime95 version 25.2:
