Dumb question.. what socket are the XPs?

Still socket A, as the Tbirds and Durons. The different thing is probably some pin assignments, like some pins weren't used in the Athlon and are for the XP

so it's compatable with all swiftech hsf ?

should be, but you better check in the AMD recommended HSF list, I think it's on the AMD site

Another thing to remember is that the bigger and better swiftech hsfs use mounting screws so u have to make sure that your mb or intended mb has the 4 holes around the socket.


Swiftechs are also large heavy and noisy ....... u had better check swiftech for their mb compatibility .
