Ebay Batteries.

Hey guys, im down to about 1h30min on my del x300 battery.

I need to get a new one for next semester, and im looking at the 4400mah batter. If i buy it from dell its $150+, but on ebay they have the OEM replacements for around 65 shipped.

Are they safe, and of comparable quality?

As long as it doesnt contain any of the recalled sony cells im sure they are ok. Its hard to say anything about quality but I would for sure stay away from the dell price.

What battery do you have now? My old sony had a bad battery so instead of buing one on ebay I decided to rebuild it with new cells. Origional year 1999 battery was 1550mah. Rebuilt the battery is 2600mah. FYI you could do a 5200mah pack but it would cost $80 for the cells.

i think i have a 1900mah battery pack. It is from 03 or 04 but it sat on the shelf loosing life. I'm down to 1:20min which isn't enough for school. i believe dell rates 1900mah for almost 3h, and the larger battery pack im looking at 4400mah, for 6+ hours.

Even if it was a recalled unit I'm sure you could still get it replaced... buuut maybe not, anyways, just make sure it's a original battery, I've bought cheap replacements and they only last half as long as the real dell ones, though only a quarter of the price.

if its not a dell branded battery i dont think dell will cover it, however, i belive its the responsibility of the manufacturer of the battery to cover it... it may depend on who makes it.

i was looking myself ineed a 9 cell :( this vista laptop eats my battery like its 1999 (53Whr +dual core = 1-2 hr)

I was in the same situation as you, dell wanted my arm for me to get another battery.

So i just went to Ebay and bought myself a Dell branned battery works fine.

Go for it man!

so basically i tried rebuilding the battery, i just opened it and put it back together before ordering parts and it bit the dust.

I found an authentic new dell 4400mAh battery on ebay for $79 + 11 ship on Tuesday. Should be comming soon!
