Woah, congrats! Very awesome speed.
Is it stable or a suicide?

Suicide run, just to see if it could be done.

good job,
I know it is a suicide but have you been able to run superpi on it or on a slightly lower clock speed? It would be interesting to see how well it does at those speeds.

Good idea, I'll work towards a high clock superpi when I get a chance.

Be great if you could get that magically stable.
Thats awesome. How much voltage does it take to pull off something like that?
eaglescouter
07-30-07, 11:12 PM
1.7050 Vcore
Is that in BIOS or actual measured volts? Sorry to be so picky.

Good questions: That voltage was bios setting, not voltmeter.
A big accomplishment on any sort of cooling, and the first 6 GHz I know of on "just" single stage phase change.

Very nice , Its amazing to see how far the old CPU's can go with the new MB's and ram .

How was it a suicide run? What eventually happened to the chip?

Suicide run , meanning he was running more volts than what is safe and the system wasnt stable he was just looking for that Screen shot .

How much? :santa:

Does ...... 4 x 3GHz = 12GHz apply for cookie qualification?? :D

:attn: Here you go, 6Ghz super pi 1m. No this was not a suicide run, I ran at this speed for over 1/2 of an hour playing with super pi 1m. :)

It only ran at stock long enough to install the OS and then I tore it down to prepare the phase change mounting system. Stock has not been seen since. This runs 24X7 at 5.2 Ghz when I'm not doing benchmark tests.

oeh still a nice oc for 24.7 :)

I'm testing stability for 24X7 @ 5.7Ghz, it ran all night at 100% load (-24 degrees Celsius) :)

If its stable, don't see why not. But Im pretty sure the gfx card would be the bottle neck :)

It can run Halo Custom Edition at 5.72 Ghz at -36 degrees Celsius :)
That is just too sick. :p
